Your new jewelry piece contains a variety of materials, some of which are vintage components, dating anywhere from the early 1900s to 1980s.

Vintage pieces should always be handled with extra care due to their age. Avoid contact with lotions, perfumes, & hairspray in order to keep them as clean as possible.

The safest way to clean vintage pieces is with a clean dry cloth, but if necessary you can use a toothbrush soaked in hot soapy water to gently brush. Be extremely cautious with rhinestones that are not prong-set, as the adhesive that holds them in place is old and brittle, and therefore more prone to losing stones.

In the event a stone falls out, it’s recommended that you use a small amount of E6000 glue to reset.

Brass components can be cleaned using Brasso, which can be found on Amazon and many other retailers.
